Quality and Accuracy in Document Conversion

This process would begin with using OCR on the image to convert it to an editable version. OCR is used only if the quality of the paper is good. This directly affects the output since bad quality images/paper are generally not recognized by the OCR scanner. The output derived after a successful OCR is then formatted and cleaned. A thorough quality check through proof reading ensures the successful replication of the original.

One of our best experiences has been converting land titles for the State of Texas. We have successfully converted 10 million tiff images of land documents of the various counties' in Texas. Such projects generally require a few value added services such as indexing criteria which would help the client to retrieve any specific information whenever they require.

We also offered customized software (store and retrieve) to our clients in a SQL database format. Using this software the user can search the database using predefined criteria such as Grantor, Grantee, Recording dates etc.

A simpler project we executed was for the Supreme Court Historical Society. Here the conversion involved books to MSWord.

Another area where we are particularly well versed is image enhancement, cropping, trimming using Photo Shop and CS software tools. We are currently executing a project where we enhance images using the above software. We convert the images based on client specification and also suggest options to increase the quality level to prepare it for web hosting.
